MesoGlue - conductive glue
Electronics uses solder to bind components together on a circuit board. But now, there is MesoGlue, a new adhesive that could replace soldering.
Developed by scientists from the University of North Florida and Northeastern University, it’s a conductive glue that can attach items together with a metal bond without having to use high heat the way traditional soldering requires.
Coined the metallic glue, it offers several advantages:
- There is no risk of heat damage to components
- The complexity of the soldering process is eliminated
- Components are merely pressed on to attach
But how to you remove the glue to replace bad components - nobody knows.. haha
